New Feature/Enhancement:

1. Support Cloud Access function which allows you to manage Omada Controller remotely conveniently.

2. Support Omada APP management method. (You can manage Omada Controller with Omada APP)

3. Support EAP firmware online upgrade function.

4. Support configuration/data files auto backup function.

5. Improve the Backup & Restore function, backup files can contain configuration only or both configuration and database information in a specific time.

6. Start Omada Controller via jsvc to realize Root Privilege separation function. (For tar.gz installation package, Omada Controller will be operated in root mode. But you can modify the OMADA_USER in bin/control.sh to assign another non-root account to run Omada Controller instead.)

7. Change the default port of mongod from 27017 to 27217.

 

 

 

Bug Fixed:

1. Fixed the bug that Omada Controller may not be started successfully if modified the http.connector.port in jetty.properties.

2. Synchronously fixed the bugs of Omada Controller Windows (From 2.5.4 to 3.0.2).

 

Notes:

1. To use Omada Controller 3.0.x new features, you need to upgrade your EAP's firmware to the corresponding version.

2. The Omada Controller program needs to use the system's netstat command. If the Linux system does not have net-tools installed (which contain the netstat command), the program may run abnormally.

3. Supporting 64-bit Linux operating system, including Ubuntu 14.04/16.04/17.04/18.04, CentOS 6.x/7.x and Fedora 20 or above.

4. Built-in JRE 1.8 Java environment.

5. Once upgraded to this version of Omada Controller, you will NOT able to downgrade to an earlier version.

6. Portal configuration will be lost after upgraded to Omada Controller 3.0.X from 2.4.8.
