Step 1. Install OpenJDK - 17

sudo apt-get install openjdk-17-jdk-headless

Step 2. Change the default Java version.

sudo update-alternatives --config java

Step 3. Enter the number corresponding to JDK 17. Here, enter 0.

Step 4. Check the Java version. Switching to version 17 indicates that the JDK switch was successful.

java -version
